We had been hearing for days that ice/freezing rain was in the forecast. But, you never believe it until it actually hits. Especially when you are a teacher or have school-aged children and days off are on the line. However, this morning at 5:00 am I got the text that "due to inclement weather" school was closed for the day. As I glanced out my window in the light of day, I could see that everything was encased in ice. It is amazing to me that something so beautiful could cause such calamity.
