One of the projects that our Art teacher does with our first graders is making animal masks. The kids get to choose from several patterns and then cut, paint, and glue their animal masks. Then, when all of the classes are done, they have an animal parade. It was so cute to see all of those little kiddos marching down the hall in their masks. Even our Music and Gym teachers are involved in this activity. (And what's a group shot of first graders without at least one of the students looking at a neighbor instead of the camera?)
